Donor Milk

MedCity Community Lactation Center partners with the Minnesota Milk Bank for Babies and offers pasteurized human donor milk for purchase. We also serve as a milk depot for parents who are pre-approved Minnesota Milk Bank Donors.

Please call (507) 291-9830 to schedule your pick up time for donor milk or your drop off time for milk donation. While we have regular office hours (9:00 am-3:00 pm M-F), we may not be immediately available for assistance with purchase or drop off as we may be seeing a client.

We understand that the need for donor milk can happen unexpectedly. Please call us and we will do our best to accommodate pick up outside of business hours for these unanticipated situations.

Donor Milk for Purchase

Donor milk bottles are 4 oz (120 mL) for $19. We sell these at cost to you with no mark up. The fee covers the cost at the MN Milk Bank for donor screening and pasteurization to ensure a safe milk product. We accept cash, checks, debit cards, or credit cards. If paying with a debit or credit card, each bottle is priced at $19.65 to cover the credit card transaction fee.

Milk Donation

We only accept milk from approved donors for the MN Milk Bank. When bringing milk in for donation, please be sure to have your frozen individual milk bags placed in a larger bag, such as a gallon ziplock or grocery bag. The bag needs to be clearly labeled with the donor’s milk ID number. Please bring the printed ID tag provided that was provided to you by the milk bank. We need this for labeling the milk for transport.
